We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and additional certifications such as EFDA licensure, coronal polishing, and nitrous monitoring. Our team members are patient focused and work hard to provide amazing experiences to our patients while lifting other team members up and contributing to a positive work culture. You will assist the dentists and team during a wide variety of treatment procedures and help to ensure the comfort and experience of our patients. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs - Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare - Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures -Recording detailed appointment notes -Communicating with labs on cases -Organization and inventory of back office and dental supplies Experience: - Anatomy knowledge - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques - Ability to take vital signs accurately - Proficiency in patient assessment - Knowledge of medical documentation and dental software operating systems (We use open dental) - Understanding of medical terminology - Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic dental practice where you can expand your skills and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.
