We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and additional certifications such as EFDA licensure, coronal polishing, and nitrous monitoring. You will assist the dentists and team during a wide variety of treatment procedures and help to ensure the comfort and experience of our patients. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs - Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare - Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures -Recording detailed appointment notes -Communicating with labs on cases -Organization and inventory of back office and dental supplies Experience: - Anatomy knowledge - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques - Ability to take vital signs accurately - Proficiency in patient assessment - Knowledge of medical documentation and dental software operating systems (We use open dental) - Understanding of medical terminology - Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic dental practice where you can expand your skills and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.
