Can-do attitude and a great work ethic with excellent customer service skills. *****Excellent Benefits**** Duties include: Assisting the Orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures, including bonding and adjustments. • Accuracy of taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays). • Taking impressions of patients teeth for study casts (models of teeth). • Accuracy of updating patients medical history at each visit. • Accuracy of posting patient services and completion of clinical notes. • Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after orthodontist treatment. • Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling. • Communicating with patients and suppliers, when necessary. • Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. • Assist with inventory supply needs. Required experience: • Orthodontics assistant: 3 years • Most have Orto and x-ray certifications and CPR

Looking for a dental assistant, part-time, for a dental office in Dunellen, NJ. Hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday including some evening hours on one day (No Saturdays/weekends). Punctuality is an absolute must. You will be responsible for sharing some front desk duties in the beginning. This will include greeting/checking out patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and verifying insurances. Experience with Open Dental is a plus. The ideal candidate will be someone who is compassionate, has a positive attitude and enjoys interacting with those around him/her. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn in a nurturing environment where quality patient care is the top priority. This is not a job for someone who only wishes to show up, do the bare minimum, and receive a paycheck. Ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred.
