Primary responsibilities for the Faculty/Program Director, Dental Assisting,
include designing and implementing learning strategies for students in the
Dental Assisting Program; developing course syllabi and instructional materials;
maintaining instructional records; student recruitment, mentoring, counseling
and retention; developing and evaluating courses, programs and services;
managing program and administrative duties; participating in College activities
and committees; and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of
the College. The Faculty/Program Director is responsible for program
effectiveness, including outcomes, organization, administration, continuous
review, planning and development. The director has a role in the budget
development process of the program. This position reports directly to the
Associate Dean, School of Health Wellness and Public Safety. The position
includes day, evening and weekend instruction in traditional and hybrid learning
environments. The Faculty/Program Director has the following responsibilities:
