Mon-Tuesday Hygiene position I have a available in the Forest Park area. I am willing to be very competitive with your current compensation. This is for a two doctor practice that has been established for over 30 years. Job Duties: Select equipment and material by examining the oral health of the patient Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, draping, and soothing patient Maintain instrumentation by sterilizing, sharpening, and selecting instruments Apply fluoride and other agents to prevent cavities Clean patients’ teeth using a variety of methods and tools Prepare and take dental x-rays Detect disease by examining gums, screening for oral cancer, and assessing levels of periodontal disease Prepare and administer treatment plans Educate patients about good oral hygiene including plaque control and postoperative instructions Administer anesthetics Prepare fillings Polish and smooth dental restorations, fabricate temporary restorations, and remove cement from bridges and crowns Document services by recording dental histories and recording visits in patient’s chart Maintain clean and safe working environment by complying with regulations, rules, and procedures Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders Maintain patient confidentiality Assist in general practice tasks and/or responsibilities as necessary All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position Knowledge/Skills/Attributes: Understands and is comfortable using medical and dental terminology. Demonstrates knowledge of dental health education subjects and demonstrates sound judgment. Possesses a calm disposition to create a soothing atmosphere for the patients and contributes to a peaceful, harmonious work environment. Ability to use a variety of dental technologies. Good verbal and written communication skills Good finger and manual dexterity as well as steadiness of arm and hand for control and precision. Caring chairside manner – Good verbal and written communication skills – Positive demeanor and attitude – Good professional and grooming image – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Job Requirements Education: Associates degree in Dental Hygiene Licenses/Certification: Missouri Dental hygienist; CPR certification; maintain annual HIPAA, Infection Control, and OSHA training as required by law

At the practice of Forest Park Dental, we have an opportunity for a part time Hygienist (15-20 hours per week, MONDAYS and TUESDAYS) with experience on all range of patients from children to adults. Dental hygienists work alongside dentists to meet the oral health needs of patients. They provide preventive dental care and educate patients on ways to maintain and improve good oral health.
