Our office is seeking a Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English in writing and speaking)Dental Assistant to work at xxxx Howard Dr Houston TX xxxx7. Our office is growing and is in need of a second team player whom Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; Lead by example; exercise good team work; have mutual respect for team; partner with team to create an exceptional experience for patient.make the patient the #1 priority; excellent chair side manner! Responsibilities of the Dental Assistant includes but not limited to: Minimum of 6 months as a Dental Assistant Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures Knows how to take good X-RAYS ( sensor experience preferred ) Greet and prepare patients for treatment Record patients’ medical and dental histories Make preliminary impressions and fabricate custom impression trays Pour, trim, and polish study casts CPR certification X-Ray license Strong customer service and communication skills, team player be present, engaged, be flexible and ready to work at all assigned shift times Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform job Preferred Qualifications: front desk tasks experience, be able to work as a floater and front desk if needed but main position is DA OPEN DENTAL SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE Coronal Polish lice various laboratory duties including provisionals Ortho experience Non Essential Functions: Clean and prepare operatory per organization procedures prior to patient'sappointment Sterilize equipment and operatories per guidelines Follow all OSHA and BBP (Blood borne Pathogen) federal guidelines Assist staff in scheduling patients follow up visits Follow up with labs to ensure quality and timely products Track incoming and outgoing lab cases with staff Monitor level of dental supplies and order as assigned by Office Leader using approved formulary. Education/Certification: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Current radiography certification required Dental Assistant certification as required by state; ability to become certified Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation preferred Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred (if required by state practice act) Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law willing to work Saturdays and late hours ( Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-7)
