Description
Our private practice has focused on children's dentistry for many years and we have recently expanded to include adults as well. We are looking for a well balanced assistant that has experience in pediatric as well as general dentistry. We have two locations, both are in Pearland and all team members rotate to both locations. Our work week consists of Monday - Thursday with 1 to 2 half days on Friday each month. Office benefits include Vacation, Sick leave and a xxxk plan and continuing education. Compensation is based on experience , skills and dental knowledge. Job Description • Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; excellent chair side manner. • Assist the doctors with all dental procedures • Performing patient oral evaluations with adult and pediatric patients • Take digital radiographs • Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors’ schedule and patient flow • Be present, engaged, and ready to work when scheduled. • Help maintain exceptional cleanliness in the office and treatment rooms • Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient • data during exam and treatment as well as post daily treatment and treatment plans in patient chart. • Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance • Follow organizations safety policies and procedures • Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform job successfully • Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patients chart. • Assist with other office duties as requested or needed Minimum Education and Experience • 4 years Prior RDA experience required - NO EXCEPTIONS*** • Dental Assistant license as required by state • Nitrous Oxide certified - NO EXCEPTIONS**** • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
