We are an oral surgery office seeking an Office Manager who has experience in
dental/medical insurance claims/benefits and oral surgery.
Candidate should be dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, caring, dependable, and be
a good communicator with exceptional customer service skills as he/she will play
an important role as a positive team member.
Position Summary: Under Direct and Indirect Supervision, Answer inquiries and
obtain information for general public, patients, visitors, and other interested
parties. Provide information to callers; Perform routine clerical and
administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling
appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
Must be able to lead and direct staff in a positive and team building manner
Must be able to oversee daily production and collection and report those
Must be able to communicate effectively and give feedback regularly to direct
Must be able to organize and facilitate staff meetings and staff evaluations as
Must attend monthly meetings with sister team members
Must be able to delegate the day to day duties as the office needs require
Must be able to ensure the practice of the marketing techniques utilized by the
office on a weekly basis
Specialized understanding and experience in handling insurance and billing
matters in a dental setting.
Processes insurance payments and ensures timely collection from patients
Must be able to research patient balances and follow up appropriately whether
with the patient or the insurance company
Must be able to work on the aged receivables report monthly
Actively pursues provision of excellent patient service.
Maintain confidential records
Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance
with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and
Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office
Must be detail oriented in order to prepare and process business
Must demonstrate active listening - Giving full attention to what other
people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking
questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Must demonstrate good reading comprehension - Understanding written
sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills - Talking to others to
convey information effectively.
