Our busy and growing pediatric dental practice is in search of a team player to
serve as a Certified Dental Assistant. We require an experienced, self
motivated, humble, multi-tasker who clearly understands the focus of our
business and is interested in working hard to grow our practice.
Responsibilities will include:
-Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and

polishing study casts.
-Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining cpr
certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone
-Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative
-Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
-Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information
confidential according to the office HIPPA policies and procedures.
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures,
rules, and regulations.
-Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and
-Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance
requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting
malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating
new equipment and techniques.
-Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory
level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies;
verifying receipt of supplies.
-Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting
immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting
equipment controls to set exposure factors.
-Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection
techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of
-Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established
standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic
results; making necessary adjustments.
-Nitrous oxide-oxygen minimal sedation monitoring if has successfully completed
a six hour mandated course.
-Coronal Polishing & place Dental Sealants if have completed the necessary
courses and certifications.
-Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to
accomplish job results.
-Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
participating in professional societies.
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Applicants must have 2 plus years experience, be a Certified Dental Assistant
within the State of Ohio, hold a valid Radiology Certification and a Coronal
Polishing Certification. Sealants certification and Nitrous monitoring
certification are preferred but not required. Applicant must be willing to
obtain these certifications as soon as possible.
