BRAND NEW OFFICE looking for staff to join our growing team! Currently, we are hiring for the following: DENTAL ASSISTANT Dental assistants help provide patient care in a dental setting. A dental assistant's duties include hands-on work with dental patients, assisting the dentist, and/or performing clerical functions in a dental clinic. All duties will involve knowledge of the teeth and most dental procedures. The dental assistant will assist the dentist in performing the operation, and do such things as handing the dentist the required tools and providing secondary support. This kind of job usually entails working one-on-one, closely with the dentist as well as patients; thus, requiring good communication skills. They take directions from the dentist and anticipate their needs as well as the patients' needs. They can be responsible for maintaining the schedule in terms of ensuring timeliness and flow of all tasks. They also work closely with office management and support staff throughout the day. Tasks may include: take and develop patient x-rays, sterilize instruments and equipment, teach patients how to practice good oral hygiene, assist dentist during dental treatment procedures, take impressions and bite registrations, etc. Dental assistants are also needed to handle the business-support functions of a dental office. These individuals would be responsible for making appointments, maintain office records and supplies, filing paperwork, and handling billing for the company. Additionally, the dental assistant would be responsible for greeting patients when they walk in the door, and providing a warm, professional face for the office.
