Busy Oral Surgery Practice in New Braunfels, looking to immediately hire a Treatment Coordinator. Must have extensive experience in all aspects of billing, dental/medical insurance, coding and treatment planning. Background and knowledge of WinOMS is valuable. Will fulfill a variety of functions across all facets of the business office to ensure appropriate patient flow, payment and scheduling Responsible to the Office Administrator, Business Supervisor and the Medical Doctors. Skills/Competencies: 1. Competent typing skills 2. Proficient with Microsoft Office 3. Proficient with handling multiple telephone calls simultaneously 4. Knowledge in WinOMS Software is preferred, but not necessary 5. Knowledge in Dental and/or Medical billing 6. Oral Surgery Knowledge is preferred, but not necessary Insurance 1. Verify insurance, submit insurance claims 2. File claims electronically or via paper as applicable. Ensure filed claims are clean by reviewing the EMR and all demographic information for accuracy. This is to be completed daily. 3. Process patient refunds by ensuring accuracy and then submitting to AP for processing 4. Process EOBs, make adjustments, submit additional information and other pertinent insurance communications daily. Scan EOBs into the patient’s EMR. 5. Ensure adequate communications by utilizing contact notes. 6. Run various reports to show, at any time, the status of accounts receivable by patients and by insurance companies). Proactively manage the insurance claims to avoid/prevent high AR. 7. Process patient statements the first business day of each month. 8. Collect on patient accounts. Forward accounts to collections with Administrator approval. 9. Generate A/R reports as requested or required. Will also assist as back up receptionist when needed: 1. Answer phones, make appointments, check in patients. 2. Ensure adequate supplies are on-hand. 3. Design and maintain a system to follow up with patients, who did not schedule, cancelled or no-showed. 4.
