Our well-established and professional orthodontic practice is looking for a
highly motivated, team-oriented individual who understands the valuable role
that a Orthodontic Assistant plays in an orthodontic practice.
We are looking for someone that is ready to be challenged, have fun, and be

ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to): Communication
with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene • Charting of patient
information • Taking records: extra and intra oral pictures & digital
radiographs • Taking alginate impressions/3-D scans • Assisting with orthodontic
adjustments • Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding • Assisting in the
placement and removal of appliances • Prepare tray set ups/Sterilizing
instruments and operatories • Encouraging, educating, and motivating patients to
follow the recommendations of the Doctor • Fixed retainer fabrication and
cementation • Bracket card set-up/placement • Laboratory duties: pour/trim
impressions, fabrication of clear retainers and indirect bonding set ups •
Inventory control: ordering and maintaining stocked chairs • Managing a fast-
paced patient schedule • Answering the phone and scheduling patients •
Hours are M/T/Th 7:30am-5pm and W or F (depends on week) from 6:45am-3pm = 32-
40 hours a week average

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics: • Attitude of

positive attitude • Professional manner and appearance at all times
We prefer candidates with the following experience: • 2 years of Orthodontic
chair side assisting • Current Texas Dental Assisting License • Computer
skills- Microsoft office (we utilize Ortho 2 for scheduling and digital x-rays)
