Description
We are a growing oral surgery office looking to add a Front Desk Insurance Coordinator who has experience in dental/medical insurance claims/benefits,and oral surgery. The candidate will also assist in front desk duties such as assisting patient's with appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance benefits and treatment planning. Candidate should be dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, caring, dependable, and be a great communicator with exceptional customer service skills who will play an important role as a positive team member. Candidate must excellent written and oral communication skills to co-workers and patients at all time. Bilingual is a plus not required. Essential Functions: *Must be able to communicate effectively and give feedback regularly to direct supervisors *Specialized understanding and experience in handling insurance and billing matters in a dental setting. *Processes insurance payments correctly and ensures timely collection from patients and insurers. *Provide and complete insurance paperwork and obtain information from patient’s insurance provider(s) as needed to ensure payment. *Must be able to research patient balances and follow up appropriately whether with the patient or the insurance company *Must be able to work on the aged receivables report monthly *Actively pursues provision of excellent patient service. *Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments. *Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. *Provide information about the Practice, such as location of offices, employees within the organization, or services provided. *Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies. *Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments. *Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings. *Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically. Success Factors: *Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards while maintaining patient records *Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards. *Must be detail oriented in order to prepare and process business correspondence. *Must demonstrate active listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. *Must demonstrate good reading comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
