Description
Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is in search of an orthodontic assistant who is energetic, friendly, and willing & able to work in a fast paced environment. Applicants should be detail-oriented, motivated team members with great communication and computer skills. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our patients have a great experience and to assist doctor with direct patient care. Orthodontic experience is required. Some travel is required REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years orthodontic assisting or treatment planning. Job Description: Our Purpose: To provide patients with quality comprehensive Orthodontic dental care and ensure superior patient satisfaction while maintaining successful working relationships with team members. Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; make the patient the #1 priority; excellent chairside manner Assist the doctor with all orthodontic procedures including but not limited to: taking impressions, pouring up & trimming models, making esix retainers, taking records, assisting with bracket placement, assisting with the fitting & cementing of bands, explaining procedures and home care instructions to patients & parents; removing and placing rubber bands on brackets; utilizing patient record on computer; Lead by example; exercise good team work; have mutual respect for team; partner with team to create an exceptional experience for patient Maintain flow of doctors schedule Perform efficient and accurate procedures to maintain a smooth flow of patients throughout the day; work with front & back office teams to ensure specialty schedule runs smoothly & efficiently. Be present, engaged, fun, and ready to work at all assigned shift times Maintain and order ortho inventory as assigned by Dr. Prepare treatment rooms, tray setups for dental procedures, sterilize & disinfect instruments and equipment Comply with office policies and procedures, safety, and OSHA guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Please fax or email resumes
