Job Summary DENTAL OFFICE – CLINICAL ASSISTANT SUMMARY OF POSITION: Entry-level position for a Clinical Dental Assistant Must be energetic, hard working, a quick learner, with a friendly demeanor and smiling face as well as a desire to be a productive member and contributor to the team. Our busy, 2-doctor dental practice is in need of an assistant to our dental assistants and hygienists. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent dental assistant graduate to learn the workings of a traditional fee-for-service dental office. Or, if you are an experienced individual returning to the workforce on a part to fulltime basis (25-40hrs), this is an excellent pathway to return to work force. Responsibilities and Duties RESPONSIBILITES: Our new team member will be responsible for helping our dental assistants and hygienists. The perfect individual will work in concert with clinicians to help their day run smoothly by preforming duties such as: • Preparation of doctors’ and hygienists’ operatories • Preparation of tray set-ups for dental procedures • Sterilization and disinfestation of instruments, equipment, and operatories • Assist both assistants, hygienists, and dentists, as needed • Inventory control and ordering • Chart documentation • Welcoming / seating patients Qualifications and Skills QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduation from a Dental Assistants program • Dependable, on time, and able to respect office policies and procedures • Professional appearance • Computer literate • A demonstrated strong work ethic • Detail oriented; able to work efficiently and perform tasks in a timely manner • Desire to be part of a team approach; flexible based on the needs of the day • A self-starter who is able to identify work needs, prioritize those needs and effectively complete the tasks • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • Results oriented; problem solver • Able to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold office ethics • Ability to interact in a positive manner with patients and team members Benefits WORK ENVIORNMENT / COMPENSATION & BENEFITS We take pride in our modern office located in the heart of Midtown, Atlanta.
