Local dental office seeking experienced Financial Coordinator to join our awesome team. We offer great benefits, full-time hours (4 day work week), and competitive salary. Financial/Insurance Coordinator Responsible for providing quality customer service to patients, administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including: maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, presentation of financial treatment plan options, and recall/re-care system. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointment and ensure information is correct in the patient’s file • Handle billing (accounts receivable) - responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility and service limits. Follow up with insurance for payment, collections from patient at time of service and monthly patient statements • Ensure service limits are recorded and communicated with the clinical team prior to treating the patient Heavy insurance duties! Posting insurance checks, verify benefits,knowledge of fee schedules and adjustments - • Coordinate with Clinical Team Leader and Doctors to provide the opportunity for same day care to patients • Assist with meeting office financial targets by ensuring the hygiene and operative schedules are full • Answer incoming calls and direct the caller to the proper person, taking messages when necessary • Ensure our patients are receiving the dental care they need by making outbound calls to confirm patients, to reschedule patients that do not make their appointment, and to call patients that have treatment that needs to be completed • Follow office protocol for daily close out/banking • Participate in local community affairs and events to include school screenings, presentations, events, and any opportunity to promote a positive image of Kool Smiles ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed. QUALIFICATIONS: • Successful candidate will have prior dental experience in Accounts Receivable and have insurance knowledge. • A high school diploma or GED equivalent Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics Insurance & Accounting experience required • Must love working with people • Compassion and high level of service for our patients and staff • Ability to deliver superb customer service • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Integrity, always do the right thing • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to twist, turn, bend, stoop, and lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
