Description
Position: Treatment Coordinator Qualities: Team player; Organized; excellent communication skills; trustworthy; multi- tasker; outgoing; confident; friendly; Position Summary: Performs a variety of duties for the doctor and patients, in a cheerful upbeat manner. Greets patients, answers phones, schedules appointments, updates patient information in charts. Present treatment plans to patients and discuss financial options. Coordinate with general dentists regarding timeline of treatment. Manages treatment pending report. Manages appointment book to conform to block scheduling. Primary Duties: Check out patients Answering phones Greet patients as they come in office, in a warm and friendly manner Schedule appointments, assuring daily production goals are met Collect fees and file insurance for patients when appropriate Contact new patient referrals without appointments. Coordinating treatment with general dentists when a new patient is referred Verify new patients' insurance coverage Sending in and following up on insurance pre-estimates when necessary Scheduling surgeries and associated appointments Ensure all pre-op paperwork is ready for scheduled pre-op appointments. (Including any necessary prescriptions) See patients for pre-op appointment prior to surgery, review consent forms, pre and post op instructions. Collecting surgical fee. Schedule appointments that pertain to treatment. Submitting insurance claims for surgery Insurance claim follow up End of Day Reports and deposit Daily backup of computers Running end of month reports in Dentrix Opening the office in the morning Closing the office at the end of the day Competencies: Exceptional human relation skills Ability to maintain an outgoing friendly attitude Ability to make patients feel welcome and comfortable in our office Ability to write legibly and clearly Ability to perform multiple tasks Knowledge of and ability to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation Ability to handle conflicts and get along with others Ability to communicate patient's treatment clearly and assist in financial arrangements as necessary Skills Required: Jurisprudence certification-State of Texas Infection Control certification-State of Texas Dentrix Software Dexis Software Microsoft Office Microsoft Excel
