Lorain County Health & Dentistry, located in Lorain, Ohio, seeks to fill a Full-
Time Dental Director job to join our growing organization. Reporting to the
Chief Executive Officer, The Dental Director (DD) is responsible for all patient
care and related work activities within the dental clinic, including care
provided by dentists, hygienists, and assistants at Lorain County Health &
Dentistry. Of the organization's six locations, dental services are provided at
three to include general and pediatric dentistry.
The Dental Director will: participate in strategic planning, support staff and
providers in training and education, manage dental providers and staff, and
provide clinical consultation and review of patients while providing patient
care to adult and pediatric patients. The successful candidate will be self-
directed, have a desire to work in a dynamic environment where multiple projects
are typically underway, and will be guided by the organization’s mission and
Responsibilities to include:
*Establish performance expectations and department goals which align with
department and organizational budgets and are in keeping with the health
center’s strategic and quality improvement plans.
*Responsible for implementing and identifying oral health outcomes to be
included in the annual Board approved Quality Improvement Plan which outlines,
relevant clinical, operational and financial indicators.
*Supervise, evaluate and hold accountable dentists and each member of the dental
team. The Dental Director has responsibility for and oversight of dental peer
review and privileging according to policy.
*Enhance the care and services provided in the dental clinic to further meet the
needs of the target population.
*Participate in management, provider, staff, and Board Quality Committee
meetings, and provides reports to the full Board as scheduled.
*Treat patients approximately 3 days/week in area of specialization.

>DDS or DMD required.
>The Dental Director must be a licensed dentist in the State of Ohio.
>Experience in a community health setting, or with underserved populations, is

hard and do well for the benefit of the organization and community.
