We are a modern dental practice located in the charming area of Dilworth (close to Uptown Charlotte). We are a very busy office looking for a strong team player with a passion for dentistry to help provide our patients with excellent quality of care. We are looking for a strong candidate to join our team as a Full-time Treatment Plan Coordinator that shares our passion for excellent customer service: Main job duties - Present patients with the treatment plan created by the Dentist, explaining treatment options, answering questions and defining treatment schedules. - Explain patient about their insurance plan's benefits, limits, waiting periods, deductibles and copays. - Discuss financial arrangements within the practice financial policies, enabling patients to receive same-day care / one-visit dentistry if possible. - Ensure patients understand their financial responsibilities and sign off the proper forms - Collect co-payments for same day services and inform clinical staff of services accepted - Check out patients, updating ledger with procedures performed, adjustments and payments received - Enter and track existing treatment plans in the practice management software - Scan all signed documents into the patient's electronic chart - Request pre-determinations from insurance companies - Submit additional documentation to insurance companies when required to complete processing of dental claims - Answer patient's inquiries about their statement balances, fees and claims status, via phone or email - Maintain a detailed record keeping of patient's interactions - Schedule follow-up and recall appointments at checkout time - Provide top customer service in every interaction with patients, in a compassionate and respectful manner, considerate of their healthcare needs Additional duties - Request patients to fill out satisfaction surveys - Prepare referral orders and other patient forms - Coordinate with clinical staff to maximize the office schedule and the Doctors' chair-side time - Assist the Office Manager in generating the daily recap report and doing the daily closing/settlement - Support the Office Manager and the Doctors in other office duties as needed, specially during high patient volume times, including HIPAA and OSHA practices - Advise the Office Manager about special patient needs and patient feedback Requirements to apply for this position - Required: High school diploma - Required: 2 years experience preparing and presenting treatment plans.
