The ideal candidate will have experience managing a dental practice. This
individual understands patient-focused care, insurance coordination, effective
scheduling techniques, and employee management. A great candidate will be able to
effectively coordinate employee work schedules, conduct productive meetings, and
oversee the operations of the office with great care and detail. They will be
comfortable overseeing employee relations, conducting employee reviews, and
resolving conflicts. They should be decisive and diplomatic in handling employee
requests, fielding and assisting with patient inquiries, facilitating strong
relationships with vendors, and have a discerning eye for business growth
practices. They should also possess a friendly demeanor so they can effectively
interact with colleagues, patients, office visitors, and interview candidates.
Coordinate and organize employee schedules
Oversee stock of office supplies and inventory
Ensure an efficient and accurate daily appointments schedule?
Greet patients and office visitors at front desk
Facilitate repairs and schedule upkeep of office space and equipment
Analyze, improve, and report on operations including patient billing, insurance
claims, ADA coding, charting, patient retention, and case acceptance
Implement and maintain systems for organization, patient care, and employee
Support HR in scheduling meetings, interviews and training
4+ years Experience in a dental or medical practice required
2+ years Experience managing employees preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of practice management software
including Dentrix, Open Dental, Net Suite, Etc.
Knowledge of best practices including HIPPA and OSHA
Knowledge of NY State employer responsibilities
Strong communication skills
