Job Responsibilities: Fabricates treatment plans dictated from clinical exams Verifies insurance benefits Presents disease process to patients with visual aids and models Builds relationships with patients to understand their specific needs Communicates with doctor to better serve patient if different options at this time should be presented to help patient Understands Whole Body Health and its relation to Oral health Investigates and follows up on all unscheduled treatment Writes letters to patients Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office products. Will work mostly on Dentrix dental software Ability to handle multiple line telephone console with courtesy and professionalism Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent customer service focus and the ability to work as member in team-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects Demonstrates a positive customer service attitude/behavior. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with all staff and physician(s). Responsible for professional atmosphere to include appropriate attire/hygiene/hairstyle and neat, well-stocked/well-organized working area. Other Job Responsibilities: • Ability to assist in other job duties related to front office. • Accepts other duties as assigned. • Responsible for compliance with organizational integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing. • Carefully tracks hours worked understanding overtime is only granted when required; maintains a very flexible schedule for work. • Cleans office in general and follows the office cleaning schedule protocol. Job Qualifications: Minumum 2 years experience in dental office Minimum Highschool graduate or GED equivalent If no college courses must have 4 years + experience in dental field Ability to independently research and investigate questionable situations regarding patient accounts. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, and disease process. Knowledge of basic computer operations. Ability to present treatment plan options methodically after verification of benefits Excellent communications skills with the ability to positively interact with public and peers.
