Part time dental assistant with the potential to become full time. Salary is negotiable. Expected Duties and Responsibilities: -Under direct supervision, assists the dentist in chairside dentistry. -Prepares and maintains dental instruments and the dental operatory. -Disinfects and sterilizes dental instruments in compliance with accepted infection control procedures. -Cleans and disinfects applicable operatory surfaces and equipment in compliance with accepted infection control procedures. -Pours and trims laboratory models using acceptable procedures. -Properly operates radiographic equipment and uses good positioning techniques with patients to obtain diagnostic and quality dental radiographs. -Properly uses all safety equipment to prevent overexposure of self and patients when operating equipment. -Seats and prepares patient for scheduled procedures promptly and courteously. -Correctly measures vital signs. -Assembles instruments and supplies that will be needed for the procedures, and arrange instruments according to preferences of the attending dentist. -Follows universal precautions when dealing with patients. -Can schedule patient appointments. -Pulls records according to daily schedule of appointments. -Inventories supplies regularly. -Accurately performs routine data entry, such as adding treatment to patient's treatment plan. -Correctly performs routine and basic functions, such as sending and receiving lab cases and completing consent forms. -Maintains skills by attending continuing education courses and in-office training. -Ability to assist with maintaining and updating the office Facebook page and office website. Job Requirements: -It is preferred that applicants be familiar with Dentrix and have the ability to use basic computer software. -Applicants preferred to have at least an Associates or Vocational Degree -Applicants are preferred to have had at least 1 year of experience. -Applicants must have Hepatitis Vaccination, CPR Certification, and certified as a Radiology Administrator prior to being employed(applicant must be able to provide proof of certifications) Please email resume to [please sign-in to view contact information]
