Vandelay Education is seeking dynamic lead dental assistants with the passion,
experience, and drive to train the next generation of orthodontic assistants.
This instructor position is PART-TIME with classes held on Thursdays from 6:00 pm
to 10 PM.
MINIMUM STATE REQUIREMENTS:
.A high school diploma or GED
.5+ YEARS (including months) of recent, chair-side experience
.Current experience in ORTHODONTIC DENTISTRY skills and procedures
Our intense, 12-week program is designed to provide accessible, hands-
to students from all walks of life. Classes take place directly in a
rather than in a traditional classroom -- allowing students to learn in
the same environment they will eventually work in.
Instructors will use their chair-side experience and training to teach
the skills they need to succeed as an orthodontic dental assistant.
.Prepare for each class by reviewing the curriculum, lab stations, and
.Deliver Powerpoint-based lectures, supplementing with real-life work
.Demonstrate dental skills/procedures and assist students as they
hands-on in the lab.
.Evaluate individual/group performance and make any necessary
adjustments to meet
student learning needs.
.Monitor student attendance and coordinate with our Administrative
.Maintain student grades and submit them to our Administrative Office
.Enforce classroom management and ensure that safety precautions are
SALARY: Competitive-$21.00 Hour
Knowledge of the subjects covered in our curriculum, as well as the

Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills including emailing, printing, scanning, Microsoft
proficiency, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi, etc.

Prior teaching experience and/or familiarity with computers and
iPads/tablets a PLUS!
