A Busy, Fast-Paced, Growing Dental Practice with a mission of providing high
quality dental care to the community. We have multiple offices and we provide
comprehensive general and pediatric dentistry services to children.
The Front Office Assistant - The front line of billing before
claims are submitted to payers.
The Front Office Assistant is in charge of reviewing the
accuracy of the demographic and insurance information upon check-in to ensure a
clean claim the first time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Verify that patient and insurance information is collected, verified and
correctly inputted into Dentrix.
Review that eligibility and benefits has been properly verified before
patients arrive for their appointments.
Ensure that services and treatment to be provided are within the service
limits established by the payers.
Ensure that proper payment is collected before treatment and/or services are
Ensure that all appointments are assigned to the appropriate clinics.
The Front Office Assistant - Bilingual must work at a pace that fast and
efficient. Muti-tasking is a MUST.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with other office duties and projects assigned by the Practice
Administrator; Billing Manager; and/or Dentist(s) as needed.
Including but not limited to, confirming appointments; verifying insurance;
patient check-in/check-out;and discussing treatment
Education, Training and/or Experience
Technical School or Healthcare Administration or minimum experience of 1 year in
a Dental Office environment; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. (Must be able to verify work history and experience)
Minimum 1 year of insurance verification and/or patient registration.
Knowledge of Medicaid and Commercial insurance billing, benefits and
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

Experience working with Dentrix
Experience posting MEDICAID and Traditional Insurance
Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to any environment
Nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange
information with staff, supervisors, and patients.
Requires availability for extended hours during peak periods, including some
weekends. Hours may change to meet the business needs.
