Description
This person supports the clinical treatment care of patients in a prosthodontic practice. We provide comprehensive treatment that ranges from single tooth dentistry to complex reconstructions of the natural dentition and full arch implant restorations (fixed bridges and removable overdentures). We work with other specialty offices to provide superior treatment to our patients. We also have a full-time dental laboratory technician and on-site dental laboratory. Other functions include greeting patients, sustaining patient comfort, managing supplies, listening to patients needs and educating them on dental procedures, answering phone calls, making patient appointments, assisting office manager with front office responsibilities, working efficiently to maintain doctor's schedule and adhering to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures. The Dental Assistant will also organize and maintain equipment, take digital x-rays and provide comprehensive post-op dental procedures to patients. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology, a friendly, outgoing demeanor, excellent organizational skills, interest in photography, enjoys the artistic side of designing a smile and likes to problem solve. Applicants must: Relate well to patients (We treat all ages). Learn quickly. Have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Basic knowledge of dental implant parts and tools. Possess strong prioritization and time management skills. Take initiative and be a team player. Be professional, confident, and extremely reliable. Take constructive criticism well. Be computer savvy and able to trouble shoot issues. Also, applicants are required to have RDA and Radiology license for Tennessee and CPR certification. Nitrous monitoring and Coronal Polishing are recommended.
