Description
Dental Receptionist/Financial Coordinator Overview- We are seeking a full time experienced, customer service oriented, dental receptionist/financial coordinator to become a member of our terrific, hard working dental team. We are a looking for a quick learner and caring individual that will be dedicated to the growth of our dental practice as well as providing excellent customer service for our patients. This is a well established dental practice with a very supportive, organized, and friendly long-term staff. We love our practice and are looking for someone that wants to share this experience with us. Our work week consists of Monday through Thursday. Monday and Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Competitive salary plus generous benefit package. Salary commensurate with experience. Responsibilities and Major Duties- The Receptionist is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering or calling the office. The receptionist is responsible for coordinating patient flow, reinforcing treatment and financial policies including insurance management. Makes fee arrangements that support the patient and the practice in a personal and professional manner. Acts as a liaison with the collection agency. Maintains reception area and inventory control of all business supplies, patient literature, and other related items. 1. Manages telephone contacts 2. Controls patient scheduling 3. Informs patients of fees and coordinates financial arrangements 4. Contacts patients with past due accounts and to set up payment arrangements 5. Oversees accounts receivable, billing, and collections 6. Handles office disbursements and patient credits 7. Maintains petty cash disbursements 8. Maintains the patient records filing 9. Audits insurance payments 10. Verifies patient insurance with insurance company 11. Monitors reports; patient recall system, outstanding insurance payments and dental treatment 12. Responds to patient complaints and insurance inquires 13. Manages inventory control of all office supplies, all office functions and needs not listed 14. Ensures front desk coverage at all times 15. Conducts morning meeting Qualifications- *Friendly demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic and a problem solving focus, required *1-3 years working at the front desk on a dental office, preferred *Trained in Softdent practice management, preferred *Strong knowledge of various dental insurance plans, preferred *Customer service oriented *Experience answering multi line telephone system with courtesy and professionalism *Ability to multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment *Proficient working with computer programs and databases *Strong attention to detail
