Our dental practice is looking for an experienced and dedicated Front Desk
Representative for a full-time position with overtime offered (time and half
overtime pay over 40 hrs p/w). Our ideal candidate will have a friendly
personality while also being very disciplined and reliable.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or by phone.
Maintains a professional reception and front desk area.
Optimizes patients satisfaction and providers time by scheduling appointments
in person or by phone.
Manages patient scheduling by creating, co-ordinating and confirming
appointments, filling in cancellations and activating recalls.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and
financial information in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
Informs patients of dental office procedures and policies.
Answers and helps with patient concerns or questions.
Collects and handles patient account payments.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient
Provides support to the dental office team as a whole.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as front desk representative or relevant position
Strong communication and people skills
Familiarity with computers
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
Good planning and organizational abilities
Customer service skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Beneficial but not required:
Working knowledge of dental software applications (Dentrix, Dolphin)
Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, procedures and diagnosis
