Rose Dental Group is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant for our busy Southwest Austin location. The position offers a 4 day work week Benefits include: Profit sharing, Health/dental/vision insurance, 401K retirement plan, Paid time off - vacation and holidays Summary: Assists Dentist during examination and treatment of patients, administers company policies and regulatory compliance and maintains dental supplies are stocked for procedures. It is essential to be flexible, friendly and work in a team environment. In addition, the Dental Assistant must display excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care. Ensure quality patient service by providing thorough patient care, effective communication and personal attention in a gentle, caring manner. ? Prepare the treatment rooms, patient records, equipment and necessary instruments for dental procedures. ? Provide chairside assistance to the Doctor including but not limited to basic and complex restorative, surgical, endodontic, pediatric, emergency and preventative dental treatment procedures. ? Record accurate and concise patient/treatment information and clinical notes into dental program as instructed by Doctor. ? Explain to each patient the purpose and process involved in their dental care and reinforce the treatment plan prescribed by the Doctor. ? Explain consents in detail, answer patient questions and obtain patient signatures. ? Expose quality radiographs; date and label properly. ? Perform various laboratory procedures (pouring study models, fabricating bleaching trays, etc.) ? Support business goals by utilizing schedules effectively and supporting the practice revenue objectives. ? Schedule patient referrals, appointments and prepare schedule for dentist. ? Effectively communicate and develop a strong working relationship with the Doctor and promote teamwork through cooperative and professional behaviors. ? Maintain a clean work environment and dental equipment to meet OSHA and Center for Disease Control sterilization and infection control regulatory standards. ? Maintain dental equipment in proper working order. ? Responsible for stocking treatment areas. ? Conduct work in compliance with state, federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL and practice policies and practices). ? Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: High School Diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Able to effectively manage more than one activity at a time required. ? Able to work well on a team required. ? Able to make anterior and posterior temporary crown with good margins and contacts. ? Exhibit a positive attitude required. ? Knowledge of Dental Vision software, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Internet Explorer preferred. Certificates/Licenses/Registration Requirements: ? Registered Dental Assistant Certification required. ? Specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure or registration requirements. ? N2O Certification required.
