Established and progressive dental practice(s)in the Southwest suburbs is looking for a full-time Orthodontic assistant. These offices are a full service dental practice providing both general dentistry and Orthodontics for patients of all ages. This role will work out of two offices in the Southwest suburbs to assist the Orthodontist(s). We are looking for an Orthodontic Assistant that believes in providing an outstanding patient experience! What we offer: • Competitive compensation • Benefits such as 401k, paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability plans and incentives • Continuing education courses • Uniform allowance The essential duties of the Orthodontic Assistant: • Taking digital intra-oral scans and alginate impressions • Assist with orthodontic adjustments • Prepare patients teeth for bonding and debonding • Assist in the placement and the removal of appliances • To prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments • Assist in updating and maintaining patient dental record • Perform proper diagnostic digital radiographs • Make preliminary impressions, custom trays, and fabricate temporaries • Provide four-hand support chairside with your doctor • Assist with other clinical departments, such as hygiene and or specialist • Manage doctor’s schedule, ensuring efficiency and productivity • Adhere to and execute Federal and State guidelines for OSHA / HIPAA • Participate in huddles and practice meetings Qualifications to be considered for an Orthodontic Assistant are: • A minimum of 2 years chairside experience working with an Orthodontist • Current CPR/AED certification • Maintain annual OSHA/ HIPAA training • Outstanding patient communication skills, professional attitude and demeanor • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment • Please note that this role will require some evenings and Saturdays.
