Patient Care Coordinator (Dental Office)?(Northwest Houston) compensation:?Commensurate with experience DENTAL FRONT OFFICE TREATMENT COORDINATOR in a Pediatric Dental Office in Northwest Houston Major Responsibilities: Scheduling Appointments -Must be organized, detailed-oriented, possess superior written and verbal communication skills, proficient in basic math including percentage calculations Proficiency in using office email, Microsoft Word, and Excel Treatment Planning Responsibilities -- At least two years experience -Spend time with the patients to answer questions related to treatment and fees. -Ensure that patients leave well informed, with all their questions answered about treatment options, with alternatives and fees introduced. -Coordinate with hospital to schedule OR visits? -Follow up with patients regarding pending and incomplete treatment -Educating and discussing the dentists treatment plan, after the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed the treatment with a patient. -Discussing dental benefits when applicable. Sending pre-estimates, authorization, and following up with patients. -Presenting fees and giving estimates of treatment. -Documenting financial arrangements/commitments to pay. -Comfortable using models, photos, visual tools, and powerpoint to present treatment to parent. -submit insurance claims -verify patient insurance -assist in front desk responsibilities -Educating patients about digital dental radiographs, fluoride, dental restorations, stainless steel crowns, nitrous oxide, conscious sedation, full mouth dental rehab at the hospital OR or with an in- office anesthesiologist, extractions, space maintainers, interceptive and comprehensive orthodontics, and any other treatment that was diagnosed by the dentist. -Sending follow-up letters/emails. -Utilizing technology in the office, e.g. digital photos, intra oral camera photos when educating patients and discussing treatment. -Dealing with difficult patients and doing public relation calls to patients -Monitoring treatment plans and case acceptance. Additional Responsibilities -assisting and participating in office marketing events -coordinating office marketing events -comfortable with Public Speaking, speaking in front of large crowds -PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL, AND POWERPOINT!!! It is extremely important that this person must be dependable, a team player, possess excellent organizational skills, advanced communication skills, clinical knowledge and be confident when presenting treatment. The ideal candidate has a wealth of knowledge as it pertains to multiple aspects of pediatric dentistry and is comfortable in working in a fast-paced setting. Past experience as a PEDIATRIC dental assistant is a plus. Bilingual in written and oral Spanish is a plus but is NOT a requirement.
