Job Description/Responsibilities: Oral Health Industries is looking for a bubbly
and energetic Hygienist for our partner locations Texas Dentistry for Kids and
Preston Hollow. We are seeking a Hygienist that is comfortable performing routine
procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, dental sealants,
administration of fluoride, polishing teeth, and shape restorations. Identify and
document in the patient’s chart any teeth and/or existing restorations that show
visible decay, faulty margins, or are causing pain to the patient. In addition to
oral procedures, employee must maintain an aseptic work area, be organized and
self-motivated, coordinate patient flow with front and back offices, and educate
patients, parents, and staff on dental hygiene and other related issues whenever
possible. Key responsibilities include:
Accurately and appropriately uses digital and intraoral camera to take patient
photographs. Patient Notes and Documentation- Correctly documents all patient notes
and initials correct forms.
Makes sure consents, medical clearances, and prescriptions, and referral are
completed are completed.
Consistently and thoroughly examine oral tissues and accurately records finding in
Medical Records- Makes sure all records have been received for patient. Releases
records to providers/patients needing copy.
Consistently performs routine procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root
planning, dental sealants, administration of fluoride, polishing teeth, and shape
Follow all OSHA and practice Safety Precautions Accurately take radiographs to
decrease the need for retakes and exposure to radiation.
Consistently performs routine oral cancer screenings
Accurately and consistently identify and document in the patient’s chart any teeth
and/or existing restorations that show visible decay, faulty margins, or are
causing pain to the patient
Makes sure that supplies are ordered and that equipment is running correctly.
Accurately and consistently removes deposits from patients’ teeth by scaling
calculus from teeth and smoothing rough root surfaces.
1 year experience as a Hygienist
Dental Hygienist License
