We are a growing dual specialty office looking to add an Patient Care Coordinator who has experience in dental/medical insurance claims/benefits, periodontics, and oral surgery. The candidate will also assist in front desk duties such as verifying insurance benefits and treatment planning.
Candidate should be dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, caring, dependable, and be a great communicator with exceptional customer service skills who will play an important
role as a positive team member. Candidate must excellent written and oral communication skills to co-workers and patients at all time. Candidate should speak Spanish.
*Must be able to communicate effectively and give feedback regularly to direct
*Specialized understanding and experience in handling insurance and billing
matters in a dental setting.
*Processes insurance payments correctly and ensures timely collection from patients
*Provide and complete insurance paperwork and obtain information from
patient’s insurance provider(s) as needed to ensure payment.
*Must be able to research patient balances and follow up appropriately whether with the
patient or the insurance company
*Must be able to work on the aged receivables report monthly
*Actively pursues provision of excellent patient service.
* Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls,
providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.
*Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the
appropriate persons according to their needs.
*Provide information about the Practice, such as location of offices,
employees within the organization, or services provided.
*Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance
with assigned schedule and time off policies.
*Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and
*Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
*Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
*Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards while
maintaining patient records
*Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office
*Must be detail oriented in order to prepare and process business
*Must demonstrate active listening - Giving full attention to what other
people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking
questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
*Must demonstrate good reading comprehension - Understanding written
sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
