Dental Assistant – Career training offered. Health, Biology, Exercise Science, Art, Communication Majors…. Read more! Imagine this: • Rewarding work that directly builds positive relationships and impacts the lives of others. • Close-knit co-workers who approach the day with a positive mindset. • Above industry wages. • Fabulous work schedule. • Daily tasks that allow face to face people contact, within a beautiful office environment, utilizing most process and technology, employing your intellectual and creative talents…. Without the stationary impact of “a desk job!”. Born from our founding dentist’s positive intention that “if you dream it, you can do it”, our practice focuses on providing the highest standards of clinical care, meeting or exceeding the standards of the Georgia Board, while catering to the values of health/wellness centered patients. Appreciating multiple medical modalities from traditionally-styled healthcare choices to holistic and alternative medicine models, our doctors and staff have cultivated the most appreciative and interesting niche of patients that we serve with the highest standards of customer service, empathy and communication. Why do we offer training? The technical skills required to become a talented and proficient dental assistant are detailed and challenging. And, we appreciate the opportunity to consider non-dental candidates as non-dental education and prior non-dental work experiences can add depth of talent and skills that we value and appreciate in our practice and are highly applicable to awesome customer service. Those candidates with prior dental experience are certainly welcomed to apply. Training is graduated with additional skill-training provided as proficiency is gained. Duties include: • Assisting one of our team dentists during treatment • Providing expanded duty services independently to patients (in compliance with State of GA certification). • Sterilization, room break down/set-up, instrument management • Multi-tasking with calmness and professionalism • Record documentation / utilization of our software • Attentiveness to “details, details, details”- a little OCD is a good thing! • Providing helpful information to inquiring physicians who refer patients to our practice • Educating patients about treatment process and options • Initiative, cooperation and collaboration with team members To be eligible to apply for this position, candidates must have: • Stable work history (recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, too) • Excellent communication skills: speaking and writing • Excellent personal and professional references • Passion to serve in the healthcare industry • Prior dental experience is appreciated, but not required to apply. • Good hand-eye coordination; fine motor skills • Strong knowledge of customer service Preferably, non-dental candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Psychology, Biology, Exercise Science, (or, related field)… as this background provides an excellent foundation upon which to assimilate dental technical training and skills. However, work experiences providing similar knowledge base will be considered too. This is a permanent position that replaces our prior assistant of 22 years who has recently retired from our practice. We maintain a stable work group and enjoy the support and consistency provided by our seasoned core team. Career hours: Monday and Wednesday: 7AM – 4:30PM. Tuesday and Thursday: 7AM – 3PM Friday, typically once or twice a month: 7AM – 1PM. We offer excellent financial and “quality-of-life” benefits including: Above industry wages, free dentistry program, paid vacation and holidays within a serene and busy productive office with professional coworkers. To apply, send our staffing consultant, Carol Paige, the following documents to her email: : 1. A cover letter expressing why this position specifically matches your interests and career goals. 2. Your traditional resume showing complete work history and education. Your dental post application will not substitute for a professional resume. Please check your spam and junk mail folders should our email response to you be misdirected by your security settings. All qualifying candidates will FIRST be notified by email within 1 – 3 business days after submission. Thank you for your interest! Please – no calls, walk-ins or resume “drop offs”.
