As our practice has grown we have decided to add more leadership to our team. The front office assistant is a vital resource for our team. You are responsible for assisting in the day to day execution of the office. You are focused on supporting our team to provide a great customer service experience in an efficient and effective manner. The front office assistant is an experienced professional that brings a wealth of clinical and operational skills and direct involvement necessary to effectively help manage the day to day operations. This position is responsible to ensure the office is effective in acquiring and retaining patients by providing a remarkable concierge level of professionalism and experience for our patients. Essential Job Responsibilities: Lead the day to day execution of processes that maximize productivity and profitability. Provide necessary planning and communications across the entire team to ensure operational effectiveness in scheduling, maximizing production and other operational goals. Ensure well coordinate handoffs on resolving issues and seamless delivery of service to patient care. Be an invaluable resource to the Practice Admin with a business/ownership mentality with respect to collections and overall office success. Perform effective Consultative/Sales/Financial Arrangements for Treatment Planning; including the provision of accurate estimates of patient copays based on advanced knowledge of insurance utilization rules that result in the patient valuing and committing to their recommended Care Plans. Enable patients to understand their out of pocket costs and payment options that lead to the successful collection of copays by creating value. Partner with Practice Admin on an on-going basis to ensure a strong understanding of dental office performance against key performance metrics and ensure our office is meeting or exceeding financial goals for revenue and expenses. Proactively review reports and data to identify opportunities to meet overall operational goals as set by executive leadership. Support a cohesive team within the office, inclusive of clinical staff (Hygienists, RDA/DA’s) and other Front Office Staff. Implement appropriate engagement and performance practices to motivate teams and inspire innovation. Ensure ongoing compliance with related training, safety, and OSHA requirements at all times with all personnel Be skilled at directing the team and prioritizing daily tasks impromptu, as needed. Must be a self-starter and driven. Must possess strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Must be proficient at Dentrix or similar dental software. Must possess organizational skills and lead the team effectively. Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have a warm and friendly persona that welcomes our patients into our friendly, fun and compassionate office.
