Unique Dental Assisting Opportunity We are a busy, private boutique dental practice in Buckhead. We are seeking a confident, qualified individual to join our office as a full-time dental assistant. Having experience as a front-desk receptionist is appreciated as well since we like to dual-train our assistants for both clinical assisting and reception/office admin support. We are looking for an individual who can provide a warm and caring environment for our patients, interact with patients and team members in a positive manner, and has the skills necessary to assist chairside and work in sterilization. More specifics in regards to day-to-day activities include: 1) welcoming patients and seating them in the operatory; creating a warm caring atmosphere for the patient 2) taking x-rays and CBCT scans 3) managing written communications with patients and doctors 4) practicing and assisting 4-handed dentistry 5) contacting patients via phone and handle incoming and outgoing patient phone calls 6) clean and sterilize instruments, organize treatment trays 7) understands treatment and procedures 8) explain treatment needs to patients 9) works well in a team Candidate Requirements: 1) the ability to multi-task 2) good organizational skills 3) learns quickly 4) maintains a positive, friendly attitude and is an out-going, people person 5) minimum of three years work experience in the dental field is necessary 6) excellent customer service skills over the phone and in person 7) proficient in basic computer programs along with proven ability to learn new software programs 8) aptitude for precise documentation 9) able to handle financial transactions and arrangements accurately 10) comprehend and discuss dental insurance 11) must be able to effectively communicate in writing; proven writing skills must be demonstrated.
