Job Description A Smile 4U is seeking Hygienists for our clinics in North Georgia. We are continuing to grow rapidly and are excited to grow our team. Each of our clinics is focused on providing a comfortable, convenient, and caring dental experience for our patients. This is a great opportunity to practice in a dental/orthodontic environment. Our locations: Cartersville Dalton Decatur East Point Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic and motivated. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays) Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment Asking about the patients medical history and updating patient charts. Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including inputting treatment plans Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment Providing patients with instructions for home care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) Sort and package instruments by tray for proper sterilization, following all OSHA guidelines. Securely store and handle patient charts in compliance with legal requirements, including the HIPAA privacy and security regulations if applicable. Assist in the administration of the recall system, when required. Complete weekly/monthly clinic logs, including hand piece log and autoclave log Assist with monthly supply order Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer Communicating with patients and suppliers, when necessary (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery.
