Qualifications and Skills - High school diploma or equivalent - Comfortable working with children - Exceptional customer service and communication skills - Hard working, reliable and punctual - Ability to learn on the job and work well with a team - Dental experience is preferred, although not required Responsibilities and Duties To assist in the performance of quality, caring, clinical, pediatric dentistry; to become adept at assigned clinical procedures; to aid the doctor smoothly and unobtrusively. The dental assistant is responsible for getting the patient ready, preparing the operatory and equipment and assisting the doctor during examinations and treatment while maintaining the comfort and safety needs of each patient. Responsibilities also include welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, delivering treatment plans, maintaining patient records and coordinating patient flow.
