LEAD SCHEDULER DENTAL PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR Martindale Family Dentistry raises the bar to a new dental standard. When patients have a Martindale appointment, they are experiencing great dentistry with unexpected extras. Extra professional staff, extra efficiency, and extra attentiveness to all the details that transform an ordinary appointment to an extraordinary experience. Martindale Family Dentistry is the private practice of Dr. Mark Martindale and staff. Our fabulous lead is transitioning to a new part-time position, so we are seeking a full-time lead to (after training) working closely with patients, provide amazing customer service, and oversee front office process-improvement initiatives. In careful coordination with other team members, after training, the first tier of responsibilities include managing phones, processing patient check-in/check-out, posting payments, patient registration, explaining routine insurance benefits and limitations, answering post-consultation questions, scheduling hygiene and restorative appointments, and finding opportunities to provide unexpected and extraordinary customer service. After mastering the administrative tasks, the second tier of responsibilities will engage team leadership and assume many of the human resource management tasks currently shouldered by Dr. Martindale. Policy compliance, overseeing change initiatives, implementing marketing projects, and communicating with team members will allow Dr. Martindale to expand his clinical tasks and maintain our happy, efficient workplace. Experience, skills, and qualities that we value include: 1. Communication training and experience in customer service. 2. Positive outlook: optimism and can-do attitude are contagious! 3. Desire to work full-time over 4 1/2 days / week. 4. Excellent speaking and writing skills to credibly represent the practice and accurately document records. 5. Stable work history and ability to quickly establish rapport. 6. Successful track record as a small group leader. 7. A natural inclination to manage “the details in the details” while multi-tasking. 8. Preference to “always be busy” while working in reasonable proximity with other administrative team members also engaging in face-to-face customer interactions. 9. Excellent past employment references. 10. BA or BS from accredited university. If you do not hold a bachelor’s degree, your prior work experience may equate. Degrees in English, Communications, Human Resource Management, and Business Administration apply excellently to this multi-faceted, task and people-skilled role.
