we are successful, growing, state of the art Dental Office striving to provide excellent dental care in every office by providing comprehensive general dentistry and specialty services to children and adults currently seeks a highly motivated team player at our Katy Office. The ideal candidate should be multitasking and organized . Professional appearance is important in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of our practice. Job Purpose: To assist in the efficiency and functionality of the department and to help the department reach their goals. Duties and Key Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities: • Prepares patients for oral exams and assists Dentist throughout procedure. • Complete radiographic images and intraoral photos when appropriate. • Educates patients in oral care and ensures the sterility of instruments and operatory before subsequent patients arrive. • Actively deliver a positive patient experience by striving to keep patients focused on the best possible treatment. Clinical Support: • Responsible for the professional and clinical development of the other dental assistants in the office. • Works closely with Dr. and front office team to ensure adequate coverage of dental assistants to ensure efficient work flow. Dental Supplies and Dental Supply Ordering: • Maintain a running list of dental supply inventory. • Monitor dental supply expiration dates and dispose of material accordingly. • Work with management team to properly and efficiently request dental supply needs to the appropriate requisition channel for ordering. Maintenance Support: • Ensure maintenance of emergency kits and first aid supplies in the office to ensure accuracy and compliance with OSHA. • Identify, report, and follow-up as necessary on any maintenance issues in the office including, but not limited to, dental equipment and handpieces. Compliance: • Inspect, test, and log autoclave systems and eye wash systems. • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring of autoclave systems via spore testing biological testing, as designated. Team Work: • Lead by example and look to build efficiency in patient workflow. • Maintain a positive work environment to boost department morale. • Aid in the continual support and development of other DAs within the office. Qualifications Minimum of four year of experience Dentrix software experience Dexis and Nomad experience Most importantly the candidate needs to be highly skilled, fast-paced, self-motivated, high energy, very friendly,and approachable with a passion for dentistry. Front Desk skills is a plus. Flexibility to occasionally work weekend Marketing Events with the team.
