Elite Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is a small, one dentist practice in Florence, KY offering general, family and cosmetic dentistry. We are a modern, energetic office that focuses on giving the best dental care while providing the most comfortable and pleasant experience possible for our patient. We are looking for a dental assistant who wants to help provide quality, comprehensive dental care in a growing community and professional practice. The dental assistant’s primary role is to ensure each appointment goes smoothly for the dentist and that the patient experience is excellent from start to finish. Our office values the importance of preparation and follow-up. The dental assistant must work with other clinical team members to ensure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining proper communications with the administrative team. Principle duties include chair-side assisting, patient education and post-op instructions, sterilization and infection control, taking x-rays and impressions, pouring and trimming models, equipment maintenance, scanning and filing patient documents, assistance with treatment planning and patient documentation, keeping clinical spaces tidy and organized, as well as maintaining dental supplies and inventory. Additional duties may include assisting with coordination of future appointments and any patient follow-up required. Comfort with typing (word processing) is essential for documentation purposes and due to our modern internal-office and patient communication methods. Candidates should be self-motivated and independent, but truly wants to be a team player while seeking what is best for the patient and the office as a whole. They must also be adaptable and friendly as well as a great communicator and problem solver. We are looking for a team member who wants to find a home and foster a collaborative work environment. Comfort with optimal PPE for all appointments (N95 masks, face shields, gowns, caps etc) and compliance with heightened protocol is a must to ensure team member and patient safety. Further, external suction units and enhanced HVE devices will be expected to be utilized in each operatory during appointments. In addition to sanitization, our office has taken great measures to ensure protection of overall health, including HEPA air filtration units throughout the office, improvements to the office’s HVAC system, and optimized office structure and flow to best protect anyone that walks through our doors. Scheduled treatment hours with the doctor are typically full days on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, and most Thursday mornings. Assistants’ administrative/non-clinical hours are generally Thursday afternoons. Any time that patients are not scheduled (patient cancellations, doctor absences, administrative blocks, etc), the assistant will be expected to help in other capacities within the office to guarantee minimum hours and to help the team progress. This equates to 29-33 hours per week. Additional consistent office administrative hours and duties are available on Tuesdays to an applicant who is happy to be a flexible team player who regularly fulfills or assist with additional office duties. That would equate to 35-39 hours per week. Experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus! If you are a welcoming, communicative, detail-oriented, “forever learner” with a “can-do” positive attitude, you may be a great fit for our office and we would love to meet you! ******Interested candidates, please submit a resume to .
