Looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to become part of an already amazing team. Employees have been with this practice anywhere from 5-23 years. This is not a corporate owned office or a multi-specialty practice. We take care of our patients on a personal basis in order to provide the best care dentistry has to offer. You need to be caring, gentle handed, and someone the patients can get dental help from without feeling lectured. Lets be realistic, just as many patients stay with a practice because they like their hygienist as they do because they like their dentist! We want this to be an office you are proud to work at. Responsibilities: To make our patients time with us as pleasurable as possible. For some patients, thats easy. For others, not so much Review health history, initial oral cavity screening, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planning, take X-rays, fluoride application, placement of any needed sealants, and Arestin placement where indicated Take intraoral photos when necessary and educate the patients on good oral hygiene techniques Maintain proper sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of workspace Schedule the patients next hygiene appointment and help fill any openings in the schedule when not treating patients SCHEDULE: Monday: 3-8 Tuesday: 10-8 every other Wednesday: 9-5 2 or 3 Fridays per month: 9-5 2 Saturdays per month: 8-2 QUALIFICATIONS: Current New Jersey Registered Dental Hygienist License - a MUST Current New Jersey X-ray License - a MUST Anesthesia License - a plus Nitrous Certification - a plus COMPENSATION: Competitive salary - Based on experience and qualifications Vacation time, Holiday pay, Sick/Personal time, Inclement Weather pay (snow days!!), Yearly Performance-Based Bonus Health and Dental benefits Uniform allowance Simple IRA Option with employer matching Some of the above are based on number of hours working and/or certain waiting periods Temperature checks for all employees and patients, COVID questionnaires at each appointment, barriers throughout office, PPE provided including face shields, gowns, and either N95 or KN95 approved masks.
