Our team-oriented environment needs a business manager to work with great co-workers and a highly respected doctor. The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for overseeing all business measures within the practice including staff management/HR, education/training of staff, practice promotion, statistical record keeping, maintenance/inventory and troubleshooting. The DO is the liaison between the staff and the doctor and will be responsible for motivating, inspiring and managing the office staff. The DO is a detail-oriented person with good leadership ability, strong organizational skills, and an excellent problem solver. This role requires a strong knowledge of orthodontics and/or minimum of five years’ experience in orthodontics and/or dentistry. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Good interpersonal skills for motivating and maintaining an effective AND POSITIVE team environment throughout the practice. Ability to generate and analyze practice reports, to troubleshoot computer problems, and to communicate with computer support companies. Ability to prepare and update manuals and generate written correspondence as needed. Effective verbal skills to supervise staff as well as to communicate with patients, parents, referring offices and orthodontist(s).
