We are looking for a super-star Dental/Surgical Assistant to join our thriving oral surgery practice. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with superior customer service and organizational skills. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Hourly salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Work hours for this full-time position are rotational on a weekly basis, Monday - Friday, based on the teams needs - 7:30am-4:30pm, 8:00am-5pm and 9am-6pm. The ideal candidate MUST have the flexibility to work each shift when needed. We offer a competitive benefit package to our full-time team members which includes: Medical insurance (practice pays a portion of the monthly premium) - Paid time off - Paid holidays - Staff uniforms Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): · Provide complete support to surgeon throughout routine in-office surgical procedures, including extractions, placement of dental implants, apicoectomies, and removal of pathological lesions. · Participate in monitoring patient’s vital statistics during surgery. · Review pre-op and post-op instructions with patients. · Review patient health history and make updates using our practice management software. · Acquire diagnostic x-rays. · Prepare and break down surgical tray and operatory. Qualifications and Required Skills for this Role: · Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments. · Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative. · Must be a team player and work well with others. · Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks. · Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office. · Prior dental experience is preferred and oral surgery experience is a plus. · Reliable transportation. Experience and Education Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience with sterilization protocol License and Certification Minimum Requirements: • CPR and first aid certificate holder. Job Type: Full-time
