Blue Sky Family Dentistry is currently looking to invite a Dental Front Office Professional/Patient Coordinator to join our team! This front office position is full time, Mon-Friday 8:00-12:30, 1:30-4:30. We understand that most of our patients are anxious about seeing the dentist, so were looking for team players who have our patients best interest at heart. We want all of our patients to have a good experience when they visit the dentist and this begins with the front desk. As one of our front office patient care coordinators, having experience within the dental field is essential as it will help you navigate the questions and concerns that many of our patients have regarding their treatment needs. The right candidate will need to be upbeat, very detail oriented, self-motivated, compassionate, an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, and have a basic understanding of dental insurance and billing. You must be able to put the patients first and be willing to discuss their treatment needs without judgement. As the staff at the front desk are the first people our patients meet, having the right attitude every day is critical. You must be able to: Consistently strive to create a lasting impression and grow patient relationships. This is, first and foremost, the most important part of the job. Answer phones and register new patients/schedule existing patients. Register patients in the practice management software and ensure all patient forms are filled out properly. Assist the office manager as they deem necessary to ensure an efficient office workflow. Check patients in and out, maintain and fill the appointment schedule and schedule patients according to guidelines established by our office. Take credit card/cash/check payments and input dental insurance payments into the practice management software. Must have excellent organizational skills, be systematic, and have good follow through with respect to patient treatment plans. You need to have a solid knowledge of dentistry. We take an especially comprehensive approach to dentistry and strongly believe that good dentistry can improve a patient’s quality of life and reduce their treatment needs in the future. The better you can communicate this to our patients the better. Must have excellent communication skills and have genuine compassion for all of our patients. Knowledge of dental insurance to help patients use and understand their benefits. Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the positive effect good dentistry has for our patients. Ability to think on your feet, on the fly, and with little preparation. Patients have all kinds of questions and concerns! Previous experience on a dental office front desk or as a dental office admin assistant is a big plus. You must be willing to be trained and willing to practice answering clinical questions for a range of treatment needs such as orthodontics and implants to full reconstructive dentistry. Minimum requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 6 + months of dental front office experience Digital practice software experience is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with general dental terminology Benefits: We offer free dental to our employees with the exception of lab fees.
