We are looking for a qualified, professional and motivated Hygiene Assistant who is ready to be a part of a team and grow personally and professionally within our dental practice. **This would be a great position for a new DA graduate. We need a team oriented individual who is outgoing with impressive communication skills, organized, professional, service minded and willing to go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of the job. As a Hygiene Assistant, you will have the opportunity of working side by side with the hygienists as well as the doctor. Position is Monday-Thursday,8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Responsibilities: • Prepare hygiene rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for each appointment as well as maintaining sterilization lab • Schedule hygiene appointments • Assist the hygienists with periodontal charting during clinical exams • Take digital x-rays • All other duties as assigned Job Requirements: • Radiography licensure • Minimum of an externship working in a dental setting, dental knowledge is a must • Experience taking digital x-rays • Must be proficient with discussing oral hygiene care to patients and parents
