Watch the video to get to know our team: Must have - Positive and customer focused attitude - Professional demeanor and appearance - Strong work ethic - Self-motivated - Honest, reliable, consistent - Team oriented - Ability to deal with children and parents in a sensitive manner - Ability to work with interruptions and manage multiple priorities (multi-task) - Ability to complete tasks on time and with quality - Attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Job Responsibilities - Warmly greet and care for children and their families during their appointment - Prepare and properly set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures - Review and update patients health history, chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance - Clean hard and soft deposits from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments - Capture digital x-rays - Apply fluoride and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay - Recognize early signs of oral disease, chart restorations, and note areas of concern - Educate and utilize corrective/preventive measures to positively motivate patient on proper oral hygiene - Work chair side with Dentist as needed, assist doctor in hygiene examination - Must be detail oriented and maintain patient comfort - Must be flexible and forward thinking to anticipate the needs of the patient - Ability to calm and reassure patients facing uncomfortable or painful procedures - Schedule appropriate re-care appointments - Assist in sterilization duties - Use downtime constructively; perform light housekeeping around office, restocking, inventory of supplies - Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards - Adherence to best OSHA standards for a safe and clean working environment - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops - Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies - Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings in order to maintain schedule Education - Associates Degree from ADA accredited dental hygienist school - Current State Licensure - CPR Certified Website: Facebook:
