We are a private dental office looking for a friendly dental assistant to join our close-knit team. Most of the team members have been with us for a number of years. We are looking for someone who is interested in progressing in their career and who is committed to being a team player. We are hiring for either full-time or part-time work. The days we are looking to fill are Tuesday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. At Sunrise Dentistry we strive to always put patients care, comfort, and choice first. We also value a good work/life balance for all team members. We block out one-hour lunches, offer paid CE, paid vacation, and some paid holidays. We want our patients to be educated and make their own informed decisions about what they want. Responsibilities • Maintain the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and teamwork • Using adjunctive aids, help educate patients in the value of optimal treatment while attending to their individual concerns • Always promote the good qualities of the other team members and the doctor to the patients in and outside of the practice • Encourage patients to take advantage of our treatment options and technologies • Help patients feel welcome and comfortable, while ensuring each patient receives adequate time and attention for the procedure you are performing • Assist doctor and hygienists in all back office duties • Be an active learner and willing to incorporate new techniques and technology into the practice • Become CEREC certified and assist doctor in designing and making crowns, veneers, bridges • Help maintain back office equipment • Perform regular inventory and order supplies as needed • Review chart notes and schedule before daily huddle • Educate patients about the importance of oral hygiene and proper oral care methods • Ensure exam and appointment notes are complete and accurate each day – this includes diagnosis for needed treatment, referrals, follow-up needed, photos taken, necessary X-rays, etc. • Work with front desk to ensure patients are scheduled for next treatment and hygiene visits before patient leaves practice • Maintain strict compliance with all State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies, and practices) Qualifications • Degree or certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited college or technical school • 2 years experience • Active and unrestricted dental assistant license issued by the state of Texas • Up to date with all CE requirements and other licensure requirements Preferences —CEREC crown design and stain experience —Implant experience —SureSmile or Invisalign experience (placing attachments, records, etc) —Nitrous certified
