INSURANCE CARE COORDINATOR / PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR Lakeside Implant and Oral Surgery is a team-oriented environment looking for a team member who exhibits a positive and enthusiastic personality, is focused on exceptional customer service, and genuinely connects with patients, staff, and referring offices on a personal level. We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator who has demonstrated a minimum of 2 years of success with healthcare front office duties (dental environment is preferred). If this sounds like YOU – then we’d love to hear from you!!! RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Insurance: management of pre-treatment estimate (PTE) process; follow-up calls with patients regarding insurance coverage for respective treatments; follow-up calls with patients regarding projected vs actual insurance payment; assist with insurance verification and EOB claim management, when requested; creation of patient Date of Service estimate for consult and surgery appointments. 2. Treatment Planning: review treatment plans with the patient while in the office; discuss insurance coverage and out-of-pocket expenses. 3. Patient Accounts: serve as the liaison between the office and 3rd party insurance company for the management of the patent account process; send patient bills or credit checks, once insurance claims are closed 4. Patient Customer Care: handle and/or direct patient questions and issues (in the office or via phone) proactively, thoroughly, and professionally; liaison with other team members to address open tasks as necessary; know when to escalate issues/questions 5. Admin Support: Aggressive and proactive control of the work schedule to ensure efficient scheduling; always answering phones “with a smile”; respond to all phone calls, voicemails, and text messages within 1 hour of receipt with an attempt to resolve all issues from the call within 24 hours 6. Appointment Prep: assist with requesting and tracking referrals and x-rays, when necessary
