Full Job Description Southeast Dental Partners is hiring for an Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team in Cornelius, NC. The Accounting Assistant is responsible for invoice management, account reconciliation, check distribution, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Accounting Team. Working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, Monday thru Fri 8 am – 5 pm with a one-hour lunch. PLEASE NOTE: This position is based in an office setting; no remote or hybrid work is available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Work closely with the companys Controller and Accounting team to process and review payables. • Cash Applications - including checking mail, making and posting deposits • Accounting reporting - sending statements weekly and reporting weekly to management • Make ACH Payments • Vendor payments - ensure system accuracy, collaborate with operations for corrections, make payments • Assisting the Accounting Manager as needed or assigned. • Organizing invoices and distributing them for manager approval. • Enter coding and approved invoices into accounting software. • Process invoices and applying cash to invoices. • Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts. • Interact with vendors for any issues/inquiries. • Provide additional support to the accounting team as needed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS ARE: • A high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Previous experience in an Accounting / Accounting Assistant role. Accounting within the dental industry is a plus! • Ability to enter a high volume of transactions accurately. • Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy. • Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment. • Self-disciplined and capable of completing tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
