Pediatric Dental Assistant A growing Pediatric dental practice is looking to add an energetic, highly motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to our team. The ideal candidate should work well with children, be self-motivated and reliable, have a positive attitude and a great chairside manner as well as work in a team. Previous dental experience is preferred. Compensation: based on experience Employment type: part-time with an average of 29 hours per week (no weekend hours required) Benefits include paid time off, retirement plan, employee discounts and the opportunity for monthly bonuses. Duties include: Greeting patients and helping to make the family comfortable Reviewing and updating patients medical histories Providing basic coronal polishing Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-ray certification preferred) Reviewing oral hygiene instructions and diet/nutrition habits Assisting the dentist in restorative procedures Preparing and sterilizing instruments according to protocol Breaking down, sterilizing and setting up operatories Charting and documenting oral conditions and dental treatment
