Our privately owned, family oriented practice is seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator to join our team. Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8:00am - 5:00pm (lunch from 1:00 - 2:00) Fridays: - 8:00am - 1:00pm Summary/Objective: The primary purpose of the Front desk/Treatment Coordinator position is to maximize provider schedules, greet/check-in patients, as well as show them our appreciation for choosing our office at check-out. The front desk/Treatment Coordinator will also ensure all necessary documentation and paperwork is present and up to date allowing patients to have the best experience possible. Essential functions: * Help answer and return incoming calls in a professional manner. * Appropriately manage multiple incoming calls. * Schedule patients appointment in an appropriate and timely manner in order to maintain a full daily schedule and meet production goals. * Concentrate on current day first, next day second; i.e. an opening in a current day schedule takes priority. * Monitor/track/follow-up Broken Appointments. * Notify clinical staff of changes in schedules. * Act as liaison between clinician and patient. * Greet patients immediately upon arrival in pleasant and positive manner. * Perform check-in procedures; collect payment from patient in the form of cash, credit card or care credit, and obtain appropriate signatures and IDs for required documents. * Assist the doctor in getting patients to understand and accept the recommended treatment and subsequently coordinate the treatment plan to work for both the patient and the dental office. * Discuss financial options with patients and enter them into the computer appropriately. * Confirm all charges from the day sheet against the daily receipts. * Able to perform “close out” procedures at end of day if needed. * Attend morning huddles if needed. * Able to independently run the office in the absence of Leaders; i.e. during lunchbreaks, vacation/sick days…etc. * Maintain cleanliness of the front desk, the treatment coordinator’s office, the break room, the restrooms, and the reception area. * Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records. Competencies: * Able to pay attention to details * Customer service skills * Interpersonal skills * Confidentiality * Microsoft Office/Excel * Punctuality * Bilingual- English/Spanish is a huge plus Supervisory responsibilities: None Work environment: Front Office Required education and experience * High School Diploma or equivalent * Customer Service experience * Treatment Coordinator experience is preferred. * Dentrix software experience is a plus. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the treatment coordinator is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, type and see. The treatment coordinator is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
